Abimbola Adesanya, Board Apprentice
Abimbola (Bim) Adesanya is a senior finance and change management leader with over 25 years’ work experience, 20 of those spent within the regulated financial services industry. Bim’s experience combines technical and commercial experience to successfully lead finance teams and deliver complex change programmes for top tier banks including HSBC, Barclays, Lloyds and TD Securities.
Bim has developed and led high performance teams of finance professionals to create operating models that align with strategic priorities, improve efficiencies, reduce costs and ensure ongoing compliance within regulatory and financial frameworks. Key achievements include setting up the London operations for Gain Capital during its expansion into Europe and the Middle East. Bim successfully established a finance function to handle all aspects of regulatory, statutory and management information reporting as well as day to day functioning of the finance department.
Bim has developed excellent stakeholder management skills, having worked with C-level executives within various organisations to gain buy-in through management of expectations and agreed objectives. She has delivered a number of high profile strategic initiatives using strong programme/project management skills including managing the development and global roll out of regulatory and management information software.
Bim is passionate about continuous improvement both personally and within her sphere of corporate influence. She is an ACCA fellow and holds an MBA from Cranfield School of Management.
