Cifas appoints Abimbola Adesanya to Board

Cifas, the UK’s leading fraud prevention service, has appointed Abimbola Adesanya to its Board under the Board Apprentice scheme.

Abimbola is a senior finance and change management leader with over 25 years’ experience, with much of this spent within the regulated financial services industry. Abimbola’s experience combines technical and commercial experience to successfully lead finance teams and deliver complex change programmes for top tier banks including HSBC, Barclays, Lloyds and TD Securities.

Abimbola joins Cifas as part of the Board Apprentice scheme, which allows individuals to gain first-hand experience of the workings and dynamics on boards.

Abimbola Adesanya said ‘I am honoured and excited to be joining Cifas’ Board as part of the Board Apprentice scheme. Cifas has done phenomenal work in fraud prevention over the years and I look forward to gaining first-hand board experience from Cifas’ exceptional board members at a time of growth in multi-faceted fraud instances.’

Commenting on Abimbola’s appointment, Cifas CEO Mike Haley, said, ‘I am delighted to be welcoming Abimbola to the Cifas Board. Her wide range of skills and experience, including in a financial crime environment, will make Abimbola a great asset to the Board and I look forward to working with her as we continue in our fight against fraud.’
