10:15am - 10.30am: Conference opening - Mike Haley, Cifas;
Cifas CEO, and Chair of the Joint Fraud Taskforce, Mike Haley will welcome delegates to the event and outline his thoughts on the role Cifas can play in helping members prevent internal fraud.
10:30am - 11.10am: Internal Compromise - Mike Betts, Cifas
Mike Betts, Cifas' Head of Learning & Counter Fraud Studies, will focus on the threats of bribery and corruption that could tempt your staff into committing internal fraud. Utilising over 35 years of combating fraud and financial crime, Mike has extensive knowledge of the Bribery Act 2010 having developed with National Bribery Investigation programme in support of the United Kingdom's Anti-Corruption Strategy.

In a time where an internal fraud incident can cost a company hundreds of thousands, it’s more important than ever to know you’re hiring the right person. But are your verification practices inadvertently letting fraudsters into the business? Adam Francis, degree fraud officer at Prospects, talks about the newest form of fraud and how a fake degree can be a passport into targeting your organisation.

Including details from two high-profile case studies, Tarquin's session will provide you with the knowledge on what may encourage an employee to commit fraud against your organisation.

Hear the latest from the Dedicated Card and Payment Crime Unit as Cat Still updates us on their latest findings into staff approaches.
3.05pm - 3.40pm: Local government case study - Clair Green, Barnet Council
Ever wondered how a local authority investigates an internal fraud case? Clair Green, Director of Assurance at Barnet County Council will present on how the council successfully investigated and prosecuted a high-profile internal case.
3.40pm - 4.45pm: Networking reception
