CIFAS – the UK’s Fraud Prevention Service, is researching the effects upon victims of identity fraud, account takeover and other financial scams.
This research seeks to collect the experiences of victims and look at what happened, what help or advice was provided and the actions/time taken to clear up any resulting damage inflicted by the fraudster.
CIFAS would like to stress that we are researching the experiences of the victims, and that any victims should also report the fraud to Action Fraud (http://www.actionfraud.org.uk/) and/or the bank/financial services provider involved. This way, you can be sure that all parties are aware and can take the necessary steps to help prevent the fraudsters causing more damage.
In order to assist CIFAS with this research, please click on the link below to begin a short survey that should take no more than 5-10 minutes of your time. The survey will open in a new window and your responses are secure.
All details will remain confidential and we will only contact you following on from this survey if you indicate that you are happy to be contacted.
