Membership of CIFAS Staff Fraud is open to any employer. The basic requirements of Staff Fraud Membership are:
- Registration under Data Protection legislation, to hold data for crime prevention and prosecution of offenders
- To include printed or scripted data protection "Fair Processing Notices" in documents (e.g. application forms) that advise job applicants and employees how their data may be shared with CIFAS Staff Fraud Members
- To identify staff frauds and share the details with other Members, in return for the benefit of being able to access other Members' Staff Fraud Data
- To be visited annually to confirm compliance
- Not to undertake any processing which would involve the transfer of CIFAS data outside the EEA and certain other countries.
