In the last 5 years CIFAS Members have reported fraud savings of over £4.1 billion through the use of the National Fraud Database.
This means that they have prevented £234 of fraud for every £1 that they pay in subscription.
As well as these significant fraud savings, CIFAS membership provides a number of other benefits:
Staff Fraud Database
Members of CIFAS may also choose – if they wish – to join the Staff Fraud Database for no additional cost. Click here for more information.
Specialist Training
CIFAS, with other industry organisations, delivers a comprehensive selection of training courses and modules. These range from training new Members in the use of CIFAS products through Proficiency Training, to specific topics relating to fraud prevention, such as: Identity Fraud and Dealing with Deception.
Networking and Events
CIFAS encourages networking among Members and other fraud professionals through a number of specialist conferences, User Forums, Business Sector Working Parties and Organised Fraud and Intelligence Groups.
Partnerships
CIFAS works with the police and law enforcement in a number of ways. These include supporting their investigations and day-to-day enquiries, sourcing and communicating bulk security alerts to Members, and representing Members’ interests at relevant working groups. CIFAS also works closely with the National Fraud Intelligence Bureau (NFIB) and the National Fraud Authority (NFA).
Research
CIFAS produces reports that seek to inform Members by shedding light on present and future threats. These reports include research on general historical and emerging fraud trends, strategic assessments of particular issues and methods and assessments of future threats.
As well as these key benefits, CIFAS membership also offers a number of others that are explained on enquiry.
